Victory Television Network (VTN) was organized in 1981 by Dr. Jim Layton to promote the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. VTN provided a production studio to local churches and other
Christian ministries to produce television programs for local cable channels.

A Christian low power television station was built in 1991 which served the community until
1995 when it became Lighthouse Communications (LC).
LC built 3 additional low-power
televison stations in Raleigh, Durham and Wilson NC to serve those communities.

LC continued to operate the low power television stations until 2002. LC was producing more
than 50 local Christian programs per week in 2001. In 2002 the television stations were sold
and LC opened Lighthouse Convention Center (LCC) for the Christian community. LCC has a
capacity of more than 900. LCC hosts concerts, wedding receptions, birthday parties,
anniversary celebrations, business and professional seminars, church conferences, large and
small meetings, training classes, expos, fashion shows, lots of special events, etc.

Lighthouse Communications changed it name in 2004 to Lighthouse Christian Foundation
(LCF) to reflect the diverse ministry of the foundation. LCF operates Lighthouse Convention
Center, Lighthouse Communications, Voice of Faith Network & Lighthouse Gospel Music
Association (LGMA). LGMA was formed in 2003 to promote local gospel singers. Today
LGMA is the largest and most active local gospel association in the country hosting more than
40 concerts per year at Lighthouse Convention Center.

The goal of our foundation has never changed: Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through
service, preaching the Word and singing gospel music.
